What makes you different?
Decades of experience and being a born nurturer! Alyssa has a 100% satisfaction rating from consistent, intuitive, empathic support and expert advice! She backs her services with a money back guarantee if you don’t feel the service you received was worth what you paid!! Can you find any other birth worker with this guarantee??
Do you take insurance or Carrot Fertility Benefits?
We’re so glad you asked!-YES, we are a preferred provider for Carrot Fertility which means we already have their preapproval to provide services to anyone with Carrot benefits, guaranteeing you peace of mind that they will reimburse you!
YES, we accept many insurance plans, including some from: Tricare, Anthem, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Humana! Plus others we can often get you a reimbursement afterward with a super bill statement you provide your insurance company stating the services you received and the price you paid.
You can also pay directly from your HSA/FSA Account!
What if I'm not using insurance-what are my options for payment then?
We are happy to set up payment plans for you to pay your balance over the course of months to prevent any financial hardships— we’ve actually found that many of our customers actually save money by having a doula! This is because doulas are proven to reduce the amount of labor interventions, cut your chance of c-section by 50%, and reduce the need for anesthesia, all of which would have cost hefty copays with your insurance company after the fact!
Why do I need a labor doula at all? I'm planning to get an epidural and birth in a hospital..
You may be surprised to leard that you can actually need a doula even more if you are planning to get an epidural!! This is because epidurals carry a lot of risk and usually require you also get pitocin, your uterus can rupture during labor and it’s less likely your medical provider will notice the signs right away because you’ve had the epidural and are numb-having a doula there that has experience with this can notice the signs and help alert the doctor potentially saving your and your baby’s lives! Every birthing person will benefit from having a certified labor doula attend their birth. The emotional, physical and informational support is a crucial component of your care team!
